The Return of Spring
13:39
|
|||
Part 1
It’s good to see you again
after months of ice and snow
A spark from the wilderness
green and blue begins to show
Sunshine through the window
fills my soul with glee
without the winter prison
I can once again be free
I take a deep breath
Reaching up towards the sky
I’m standing tall
Absorbing the light
As if I’m standing on the mountain top
wishing well on all
I’ve faced adversity
in the sub-zero world
A search for heat and comfort
For every boy and girl
Playing time in the open fields
in the valley of peace
Echoes of children laughing
goes far across the seas
My arms spreading out
to embrace the overflowing joy
It’s a wondrous sight
But it’s time I told you
of a time that wasn’t like this one
that’s sure to bring you fright
Part 2
There was a time when winter ruled the world
When summer didn’t show itself for a whole year
Seasons that came didn’t make a difference
And lack of fertile grounds brought us all fear
1816 was the year without summer
That time has come and gone, but for how long?
We thought we’d never see a clear blue sky again
It might occur in time, but for now let’s sing the current song
Part 3
Events like these are unpredictable
It will| linger for a while or for an eternity
The effect will last or it will pass us by
It could bring us growth or drought no matter how we plead
It’s been like this since the Dawn of Time
We try to live no matter the circumstance
And what will happen next is hard to see
but I hope it will give us all a chance
We can estimate of when it arrives once more
By looking through a chapter of Mother Nature’s diary
We can learn what happened a thousand years ago
or a million years, even before the bumblebee
The cycle of life will| stay the same
The change is in how we all prevail
What matters most is the now
So let’s rejoice for what we have today
Every year I’m grateful for The Return of Spring

Season of Sorrow
12:33
|
|||
Verse 1
Rain is pouring down at the break of dawn
In a gentle rhythm on the empty streets
The mood of late October is lingering in the fog
While clouds grow dark and cover the sky
Families gathering in the cemetery
The month of mourning is taking place
Softly spoken words are traded in between
To not disturb the ghosts that rests in peace
Pre-chorus 1
It’s times like these I wished I lived
In the past where ignorance is bliss
But I can’t turn my back on
all the things I’ve learned
I need to live with scars and voids
to gain my strength inside and out
or else i’d have to leave this world
unable to return
Chorus
Brighter days are months behind
When the leaves turn brown and
fall to the ground
People live and people die
The cycle of life will stay the same
careless of the weeping sound
Well it’s a long while until the ground begins to bloom again
Brighter days have come and gone
to make way for the Season of Sorrow
Verse 2
A lady with a rose red like blood
Puts it in a vase next to her daughters grave
She was only seventeen, wishes for nothing more
to once more see the life that she once gave
Church bells can be heard from the top of the tower
Telling the time of day or when it’s time to pray
The preacher and the choir all singing their songs
To show some comfort for the grieving souls
Pre-chorus 2
These people here are gone for good
but their memories still remain
frozen in a photograph or
deep inside my mind
Nothing I do can bring them back
even though I wish I could
So I won’t have live my life
with a great pain deep inside
Chorus
Brighter days are months behind
When the leaves turn brown and
fall to the ground
People live and people die
The cycle of life will stay the same
careless of the weeping sound
Well it’s a long while until the ground begins to bloom again
Brighter days have come and gone
to make way for the Season of Sorrow
Bridge
No-one wants to face the harsh reality of
losing everything you love
Looking for a different path to a
story that never ends
Together we can make it through
Facing it makes us stronger with each passing day
We aren’t made to last forever
but the legacy will carry on
Pre-chorus 1
It’s times like these I wished I lived (I lived)
In the past where ignorance is bliss (Is bliss)
But I can’t turn my back on (My back)
all the things I’ve learned (Things I've learned)
I need to live with scars and voids (And voids)
to gain my strength inside and out (And out)
or else i’d have to leave this world
unable to return (This world)
Chorus
Brighter days are months behind
When the leaves turn brown and
fall to the ground
People live and people die
The cycle of life will stay the same
careless of the weeping sound
Well it’s a long while until the ground begins to bloom again
Brighter days have come and gone
to make way for the Season of Sorrow
Oh the Season of Sorrow

Thoughts of a Madman
14:23
|
|||
Verse 1
In a room with no windows
with cracks in all the walls
lies a man with thoughts out of this world
His skin is pale and bruised
with a long and empty gaze
into the ceiling where reality begin to blur
Pre-chorus 1
The ceiling spirals out to a world of chaotic distortions
He’s digging deeper into his miseries
To a place where society has abandoned him
Lying in his bed and feeding his delusions
Chorus
The world has turned on him
no more love or joy
isolated in a concrete box
He will do the same
by throwing away the
keys to all the locks
Cold and paranoid
fear and distain for
anyone who gives a hand
Loved ones fade away
nowhere to turn but
into his nightmare land
He sees no other way out
Trapped in a world of eternal suffering
Prayers for better days
has run it’s final course
madness remaining
as a new day dawns
(Instrumental)
Verse 2
As the nightmares go on
The outside feels gloomier
Until you can barley see the sun
The people all around
changing into foul appearances
Where humanity is close to gone
Pre-chorus 2
Then colours out of space starts twisting and turning around him
It’s pulling him deeper in his miseries
All he sees is a warped reflection of reality
Still lies in bed and feeding his delusions
Chorus
The world has turned on him
no more love or joy
isolated in a concrete box
He will do the same
by throwing away the
keys to all the locks
Cold and paranoid
fear and distain for
anyone who gives a hand
Loved ones fade away
nowhere to turn but
into his nightmare land
He sees no other way out
Trapped in a world of eternal suffering
Prayers for better days
has run it’s final course
madness remaining
as a new day dawns
(Instrumental)
Chorus/Outro
The world has turned on him
no more love or joy
isolated in a concrete box
He will do the same
by throwing away the
keys to all the locks
Cold and paranoid
fear and distain for
anyone who gives a hand
Loved ones fade away
nowhere to turn but
into his nightmare land
These are all Thoughts of a Madman
Loud and clear
Prayers for better days
has run it’s final course
madness remaining
as a new day dawns

The Industrial Force
08:55
|
|||
Verse
Trails of smoke are dancing in the air
In an age to improve the way we live
Workers all around marching through the street
To provide for their wives and with bread to give
A revolution in how we run the world
Simplified living we’ve taken for granted
Serve the nation’s great discoveries
That we call the industrial force
A dream to one day travel far and wide
All without the wagon the horse
Pre-chorus
Cogs and oil running like a river
Moving stones, with the strength of giants
Motherland
Chorus
We’ve come to rule as kings and queens
With the power of steam and grand machines
(It’s the industrial force)
Messages reach receivers at a rapid pace
With a use our voices without face to face
(It’s the industrial force)
Verse
The world is changing with engines working hard
But the movement is far from complete
A brand new path starts shining bright for us
Making the gaslight obsolete
Pre-chorus
Cogs and oil running like a river
Moving stones, with the strength of giants
Motherland
Chorus
We’ve come to rule as kings and queens
With the power of steam and grand machines
(It’s the industrial force)
Two brothers in a workshop will soon arrive
To guide our way up towards the sky
(It’s the industrial force)
(Instrumental)
Chorus/Outro
We’ve come to rule as kings and queens
With the power of steam and grand machines
(It’s the industrial force)
The archer and the eagle travel towards the moon
To take the giant leap for all of mankind soon
(It’s the industrial force)
